Australia - 2002
Total Solar Eclipse - December 4, 2002
** We will be in Ceduna, southern coast of Australia, eastern portion of the Great Bight.
** Our 13 night Eclipse Expedition Australia 2002 will include visits to Sydney, Adelaide, Kangaroo Island, sheep and cattle stations, and a superb eclipse-viewing location on the beach-front at Ceduna.
** Totality will occur about 48 minutes prior to sunset. We will experience 34 seconds of Totality, with the sun approximately 9 degrees above the horizon. The shadow will be racing over the ocean directly towards our center line position. To the unaided eye, the eclipsed sun will appear to be much larger than when it is high in the sky.
** We will watch the shadow racing towards us over the ocean, with a high probability of clear weather.
** Special Luxury beach-side camp-site at Ceduna for our Eclipse Expedition.
** Swim with dolphins in Baird Bay.
** Fish during our full-day private marine adventure.
** Our accommodations will range from the mid-size to the small and intimate.
** Our guides and locations are excellent.
** Optional extensions to Tasmania, Great Barrier Reef, and New Zealand. We can design a custom tour based on your individual specifications.
** The group will be limited to 20 persons.
