CHENGETA SAFARI LODGE - 2 NIGHTS - (B, L, D)
Mashonaland is a 45 minute drive from the Harare airport. We will stay 2 nights at Chengeta Safari Lodge, located in Selous - an exclusive retreat approximately 75 kilometers south-west of Harare. Chengeta Safari Lodge is nestled against a large granite kopje and overlooks a waterhole. The largest private game reserve in Mashonaland, this is unspoiled Africa at its best. Here guests will find in excess of 45 species of mammals and over 180 species of birds living in a broad spectrum of southern African vegetation.
Activities at Chengeta Safari Lodge include game drives (both day and night), horseback safaris, canoeing, walking trails, bird watching from hides and fishing. An excellent introduction to Zimbabwe's magnificent wildlife!
SATURDAY, JUNE 16 - MASHONALAND / HARARE - WILD GEESE LODGE - (D,B)
Located 15 minutes from the center of the city, the Wild Geese Lodge is a private game farm. It features delightful accommodations consisting of 8 thatched suites and a spacious cottage, each with en suite bathroom and private verandah. The thatched main lodge incorporates the bar, dining room and a large spacious verandah commanding one of the most stunning views in Harare. Bird watching, horse rides, escorted walks, golf and tennis nearby.
